I am trying to get Perforce working through xcode. Right now I have the p4v application downloaded and it works just fine, except that it is a pain to have to flip between xcode and p4v to check out/ submit files.

I noticed that the SCM of Xcode has the option for p4v, but everytime i set it up nothing seems to happen. I hit enable SCM after putting in all my credentials and then nothing.

Any ideas?

P4v is the Perforce visual client... a window and icon based view of Perforce.

XCode uses the P4 command line client (note no "v"). You will have to download and install that client to use XCode's perforce integration.
