Finding an installer problem

  • Subject: Finding an installer problem

I recently wanted to distribute a piece of software which runs in the command line. I used PackageMaker to create an installer package to place the file in /usr/bin. I tested it on my machine and since it worked once in a row, I figured "ship it".

Okay so now a user is reporting an error on installation.

Is there an installer failure log somewheres that I can tell him to send me?

I really did search the archives and docs for PackageMaker before posting this. The results you get when using "installer failure log" aren't that useful.

Thanks
