Is there an installer failure log somewheres that I can tell him to send me?

I really did search the archives and docs for PackageMaker before posting this. The results you get when using "installer failure log" aren't that useful.

Does Window -> Installer Log (cmd-L) in Installer.app not help? Is there anything in the console log?

If you find an intractable problem, you might try Apple's installer- dev list.
