Oddity when zipping my build folder

  • Subject: Oddity when zipping my build folder

Several days ago I ran into the following problem recently and was wondering if anyone could offer an explanation. I was trying to use the Finder to create a zip file of my entire project. In the middle of the process I got a message saying "A file reference could not be created." Now, aside from the fact that this is a terrible message according to the HIG, I tracked it down to a copy of my application in the build folder that Xcode creates. I can't remember if it was the debug or release build, but when I removed it the archive could be created. So I trashed that build folder and let Xcode recreate and rebuild everything in it. Then today I see the same problem again. I can duplicate the folder, and if I replace the bad folder with a copy of itself, the archive can be competed and the bad copy can be trashed just fine.

Anyone know what's going on?

Larry
