Hi Markus
All of a sudden, when I run my application (a simple document based
test application) from within, and I quit the application the
process exits but Xcode somehow thinks it's still running.
I don't have an explanation but have also seen this many, many times
with Xcode 3.0. Restarting Xcode always solves the issue. The process
Xcode apparently can't terminate doesn't appear in Activity Monitor
either.
I'm pretty confident my app is terminating correctly and have chalked
it up as an Xcode bug. I never saw this behavior with 2.4 on Tiger.
Regards,
Simon

Hi,
I'm having a problem with Xcode 3 (on Mac OS 10.5.2) which I don't
understand.
All of a sudden, when I run my application (a simple document based
test application) from within, and I quit the application the
process exits but Xcode somehow thinks it's still running. In other
words, even if the application terminated (Application Menu->Quit),
"Run->Stop" is still active and Xcode will ask me to terminate the
process if I try to recompile or rerun it. Also, the process doesn't
show up in ps -all so
Does the behavior indicate an error condition in the application?
I have now terminated Xcode and restarted it and the problem went
away. I would be interested in learning how and why that happens.
Thanks
Markus
