Xcode can't make a snapshot

  • Subject: Xcode can't make a snapshot
  • From: Randall Meadows <email@hidden>

Xcode 3.1, Mac OS X 10.5.4 (9e17)

I'm getting this when I try to create a new snapshot:

"Snapshot Failed
Unable to change file attributes for “/var/folders/SJ/ SJD9LFS9F6ubEN0SQIDu-++++TM/-Tmp-/XcodeSnapshots/ArchivedDirectories/ AssetsManager/2008-08-14 15:39:52 -0600/.DS_Store”."

From my poking around, I gather that that XcodeSnapshots is actually a disk image mounted in the temp directory? Could that image have gotten corrupted somehow? It doesn't really show up anywhere, but Finder shows XcodeSnapshots is an alias, and double-clicking it opens a volume named Snapshots at the "computer" level, even though opening the "computer" does not show that volume.

There are other snapshots, both from this project and others, but I can't seem to create a new one. All those others were created with Xcode 3.0.

Should just nuke the disk image and start from scratch? Where does it live? Other suggestions? _______________________________________________
