Is there a way for me to add the man pages to Xcode 3.1?

In the doc set TOC, you should be able to subscribe to the documentation, after which the docs will be updated to include the man pages.

Can I *hide* the TOC by default?

Not by default, but once you hide the TOC for a particular book, it should stay hidden for that book.

once I get the doc sets that I want, can I completely hide that left- hand column?

You can make it very small and effectively hide it. Note that the left-hand column serves multiple purposes; it also serves as the selection for the doc set you want to look at or search, similar to how mailboxes in Mail.app work.

I'm just starting to make the transition from Xcode 2.5 to Xcode 3.1. I'm finding some differences in the documentation viewer; as a creature of habit, I naturally want what's familiar from Xcode 2.5

In Xcode 2.5, the documentation viewer includes the UNIX man pages; in Xcode 3.1, the man pages are not included. Is my Xcode 3.1 configured incorrectly? Is there a way for me to add the man pages to Xcode 3.1?

Also, while I'm griping: The documentation that I *can* read with the Xcode 3.1 doc viewer always appears with the TOC showing. Can I *hide* the TOC by default? And, just to be completely grumpy, once I get the doc sets that I want, can I completely hide that left-hand column?

Thanks for humoring me.
