I've noticed that the compiler settings seem to be intermittently
missing from the Project and Target info panels after the latest
iPhone SDK release, which of course includes Xcode 3.1.2.

Any defined settings for a particular configuration appear as User-
defined Settings because their corresponding categories
just...aren't there. It seems that some projects will have the
settings and others won't, and I haven't been able to track down a
definitive pattern yet. I am working with iPhone projects in
particular, though the odd C++ tool project usually seems to have
the settings in the right place. Has anyone noticed something
similar, or have any idea why this is occurring?
Thanks,
Bryan
