I'm pretty sure the only PowerPC Macs that ran System 7.5 were the
ones that still had NuBus slots, before Macs came with PCI.
That would be machines like the 6100 and the 7100. I think those Macs
had the PowerPC 601 CPU.
I worked for Apple on the System for the first PCI Macs, the 7500,
8500 and 9500. Those Macs ran System 7.5.2; System 7.5 wouldn't have
worked on them.
It's still possible to buy such old Macs, and they aren't expensive -
maybe $100 or so. Google is your friend.
You can also run System 7.5 on 680x0 Macs like the Quadras.
