Hey David -
I'm sorry you're having trouble and frustrated.

I'm frustrated with IB3 because when I try to adjust a nib, it
breaks some previously correct bindings. Then I find I have to
either rename elements of the nib, or remove then recreate identical
binding information in order to make it work again.
I haven't ever heard of anything like this, could you please file a
radar with a reproducible test case so that we can fix it for you? Are
you cutting and pasting objects resulting in the disconnection of
bindings?
I'm also frustrated because sometimes when I adjust settings in an
inspector pane, the pane disappears. I have to click on another
item then back to the original item in order to keep making
adjustments.
This is just a hunch, but I think this may be happening to you because
of a bug in the way IB handles the browser view in the main nib
window. If you use the browser view in the main nib window, consider
switching to he outline or icon mode until the next release of
Interface Builder.
Are there workarounds to make using IB3 easier? Any updates
coming? Where would I get an update, in Software Update or from
Apple Developer Connection?
Apple Developer Connection will be updated when the next release of
Interface Builder is available. In the mean time, we'll take your bug
reports very seriously. I encourage you to file them, so that we can
build a product you enjoy working with.
Good Luck -
Jon Hess
Thanks,
DC
