There are many choices for cross-platform GUI toolkits. The one we use is Trolltech Qt. It's available for OS X, Linux, Windows, Solaris, IRIX, etc.

Others popular choices include wxWidgets, GTK+, Tcl/Tk, and of course Java Swing.

Now I have a more complicated question. How do I build a GUI? Apparently I have some choices like Carbon and/or Cocoa (is that correct). But is there another choice, which is common to other Unixes (like Linux)? What are your choices and/or recommendations?
