When I add a requirement to a choice like 'Target OS Version is >=
10.3', the PackageMaker issues a warning like :
Requirement "Target OS Version (e.g. 10.x.x)" of choice "10.3" is not
supported prior to Mac OS X 10.4.
I am just getting started with PackageMaker myself, and I see that the
instructions indicate that it can't be used to install software on
Panther
and older. So I guess the warning says it all.
If I recall correctly what I read last night, you will have to create
your
installer package using the older, pre-Leopard version of
PackageMaker. And
maybe you have to run it on Tiger or older, too -- not sure about that.
It can be used to install software on Mac OS X 10.2. It all depends on
the package format that's used. It's just that some features were not
available on 10.2 and 10.3 and 10.4.
