Changing a nib bundle's format

What's the best way of downgrading a nib's format with the 3.0 developer tools?

IB 3 supports a new nib format that uses a "designable.nib" file rather than classes.nib and info.nib, and it's driving me nuts, since IB apparently overwrites a good deal of the file each time a nib is saved, which gets really expensive in our SCM system, even for small changes. I want to change these nibs to the older classes/info format to reduce the cost of checking in changes...
