I really hate trying to use the Outline view style editor on my
Info.plist files, but can't figure out how to turn it off and get
back to the plain old text. Is there a preference, setting, or
something? Also copy from the outline view wraps the extraction text
in a pro forma header which often has to be edited out and is not
what you want. IMO a step backwards in Xcode.
Why each time a change does not fit exactly the need of everybody, it
has to be considered a regression. I find this plist editor far more
usable than the old one and far more convenient too. At least, it
support copy/paste.
That said, if you don't like it, their is at least 3 way to open your
file as a plain XML file;
- Open Xcode preferences > File Types: Find the entry for xml plist,
and change the corresponding editor.
- Open your plist file info, and change its type from plist to xml.
- right clic on your file and choose "Open As > Plain text"
