Indeed there are, one entry for each of the custom classes used in the nib. They look like:

10/07/08 2:50:32 PM [0x0-0x52052].com.apple.InterfaceBuilder3[1186] 2008-07-10 14:50:32.762 IBCocoaSimulator[1196:10b] Unknown class 'ShiftView' in nib file, using `NSView' instead.

So I tried "Read Class Files" again but no improvement.

Does Console.app show anything? In my experience, IB logs when it finds
problems.
