One way to do this is to create a new project, then start copying resources from the old project into the new project one by one. You don't actually have to build the project, you just need to add a resource, and then switch back to IB to see if it crashes. Once you find the resource that crashes IB, please let me know what type (JPEG, PNG, etc) it was, and if you notice any problems when opening it in Preview. We've seen some instances of strange resource headers in images and stuff causing syncing issues with IB, so please be sure to let us know what you find.

I wasn't able to come up with anything using this technique. It's definitely in the .xib file, though. Creating a new project, putting that .xib file in it and opening it exhibits the same behavior.

The only other things (besides the standard File's Owner, First Responder, and Application) I have in the file are a window, an object, and an object controller.

The only interesting data point I can come up with is, I had an issue in the window where I had a scroller containing an IKImageBrowserView; I could only adjust the scroller by dragging the thumb. Clicking on the arrows highlighted the arrows, but did nothing else; clicking in the paging areas did nothing at all. I did a "Save As" on the .xib file to a new location, and that fixed *both* of these problems: No more scroll problems, and no more complaints from IB.

So, my problem is fixed, and I'm not going to worry about it any more. But if you'd like the problematic .xib file, I'll be happy to send that your way for your entertainment.
