Only this project. This was immediately after making a brand new project wrapped around an existing makefile system. There can't possibly be any ancient or cumulative corruption of the project, so I don't see what good will come of making a new project from scratch.

External build systems don't have the dependency logic or the project index of a native project, so many areas of Xcode (indexing, navigation, class browsing and modeling, syntax coloring, SCM, etc.) are not available with external build systems.
