Brand new project, external build system with a typical makefile.

Only this project. This was immediately after making a brand new
project wrapped around an existing makefile system. There can't
possibly be any ancient or cumulative corruption of the project, so
I don't see what good will come of making a new project from scratch.
External build systems don't have the dependency logic or the
project index of a native project, so many areas of Xcode (indexing,
navigation, class browsing and modeling, syntax coloring, SCM, etc.)
are not available with external build systems.
Ah, a satisfactory explanation. Thank you.
Cheers!
