I've created a new, template, project and hit build & go.... and
nothing. It just hangs with a "compiling" message in the status
bar. Hitting Stop stops it but that's all. No errors or warnings it
just doesn't build & go.
I'm new to Xcode so I could be making a basic error (I installed
Xcode using all the default options). Help?
Edward
What version of Xcode are you using?
What version of Mac OS X?
Which Mac do you have?
Which template did you use to make this new project?
Does this happen if you try one of the other templates?
Have you opened the Build Results window, (Build Menu) and seen what
Xcode is trying to do when it fails?
In addition to all of the above, the first step when building a fresh
project is to precompile the headers, which can be huge. You may just
need to be patient.
Cheers,
Ken
