Have you ever tried to create an empty project (using the "Empty
Project" template in the new project wizard) and then successfully
been able to add new build configurations? I've been able to add new
targets, but I cannot seem to add any configurations.
When opening the info panel for the project, the "Build" tab's
"Configuration" dropdown shows the usual "Debug" and "Release"
configurations (this is clearly wrong, since there are no predefined
configurations in an empty project). When clicking the
"Configurations" tab, the list is definitely empty, and hence I
cannot
make new configurations since there's no "Add" or "New" button, only
"Duplicate", "Reneme" and "Delete".
Hej Mattias,
I can't reproduce this problem. When I create a new empty project,
it comes with both a Debug and a Release configuration out of the
box, and they show up in the Configurations tab of the Project
inspector as expected. If you quit and re-launch Xcode, is the
project still not showing the configurations in the inspector?
In older versions of Xcode a new empty project did not come with
configurations, and Mattias is correct in that you can't add a
configuration to a project that has none.
Chris
