I use ppc7400 and not ppc simply because that's how Apple has built
their frameworks (and also because I don't support the G3).  Try:

$ lipo -info /System/Library/Frameworks/Cocoa.framework/Versions/Current/
Cocoa
Architectures in the fat file: /System/Library/Frameworks/
Cocoa.framework/Versions/Current/Cocoa are: ppc7400 ppc64 i386 x86_64
