I currently have Xcode 3.0 installed from the original Leopard DVD. How can I keep Xcode current and up to date? Is there an update process? Is there a DMG for Xcode 3.1 that isn't listed on the ADC downloads site?

I am starting to learn Xcode and Cocoa and I want to make sure I am using the most current version.

The "Xcode News" box (Help menu) tells you when there's anything new with Mac OS X development. You may want to check it occasionally.

Xcode updates are delivered through the Apple Developer Connection; join ADC with a free online account and you usually get to download prerelease versions of upcoming tools releases.

New full versions of Xcode are typically delivered as part of new OS releases (Leopard contained Xcode 3.0, Tiger contained Xcode 2.0) and are included on the OS DVD. Updates released between major OS releases are typically free for download to ADC members when they're released.
