Well, sorry for upsetting people. I didn't have to sign anything to get the SDK, so I assumed asking a questions when it didn't work wasn't a transgression.
Yeah, but unless someone else violated their agreement, to get the SDK you had to register as an iPhone developer and accept the policy, which covers this.
I understand the frustration about not being able to ask questions along these lines, but as Scott Anguish has pointed out on the Cocoa list, there's information coming soon about how and where to get support. With the impressive amount of information they put together for the release, it's unfortunate that either a mailing list or a support email address at Apple wasn't made available at the same time. There certainly was time to plan that.
I don't think NDA products have ever been supported in a developer mailing list, since all(?) of the mailing lists are public. It would be nice if there could be qualified NDA lists, because then everyone who has an interest and is under NDA would benefit from the information. Having an address you can send questions to just isn't the same.
But, we'll see. Until then, shhhh.
