Last night (at Silicon Valley Cocoaheads), I saw a debugger window (the one with stack, variables, and source) that also showed the gdb console.  How do I do that?  I can only make the console come up in a separate window (and then I always have to move it somewhere more convenient).

Open up the Preferences and select the General icon. On the left is the Layout Combo Box Drop-down, choose "All-In-One". I think that gives you what you are asking for.
