I'm having some questions on how to build for multiple Mac OS X releases. My (simple) goal is to target the latest and and (at least) one previous release with one build. Currently this would be 10.5 and 10.4. I'm running OSX 10.5.5, am running XCode 2.5 and based on my understanding of the "Cross-Development Programming Guide" the setting "Cross-Develop using target SDK is set to "Mac OS X 10.4 (Universal)", my SDK Path is set to "$(DEVELOPER_SDK_DIR)/MacOSX10.4u.sdk" and my Mac OS X Deployment Target is set to Compiler Default that should make the the same as the target SDK. Is my assumption correct that (even if not explicitly described in the documentation) targeting a OS X version also allows running it on a more current one? Is this the proper way to do so? Are my settings correct? Thank you in advance, -Dieter |
