Thanks everyone who replied.

Regarding the Xcode 3 being slower than Xcode 2: I checked some more, and I
think I now understand what happens. Xcode 3 is much slower when there are
some AppleScript files in the project (I use some AppleScript to interact
with InDesign). With Objective-C-only projects, Xcode 3 is pretty much as
fast as Xcode 2.
I will report the AppleScript issue to Apple - at least now I can single it
out.
Regarding Code Sense:

I guess it's a personal preference - to me, it's exactly the opposite. In
Xcode 2, Code Sense shows a pop-up with choices - which works great for me
and is predictable and reliable. - and also helps learning a lot of new
things on the way. Obviously, it can be different for other people.
In Xcode 3, the pop-up with suggestions shows up only if you press the
Escape button. I wonder if there's a hack, or a trick, or a tool that can
automatically invoke the Escape button every time you start typing a new
word in Xcode?
Without this option, writing code in Xcode 3 to me is a total disaster. To
the point that I started wondering if there are other tools that can replace
Xcode on Leopard - until I found the Xcode 2.5 upgrade.
I guess I need to ask Apple to restore the old way Code Sense worked as an
option. I think it's wrong to eliminate a feature to which users got used
through the years anyway.
Thanks,
Leo
