You won't; Russell is incorrect. Xcode will not show the contents of
referenced projects, only the products that their targets build.

independently of the project referencing it.
I apologize for the misinformation. That's what I get for jumping
into a discussion when I'm not feeling well and am away from my
development machine.
I will note, however, that since the included subproject does get
indexed by the main project, one can do things like use the Open
Quickly command or command-double-click a symbol defined by the
subproject to open the file containing its definition. That's not
exactly what Thomas is requesting, but perhaps it will mitigate his
discomfort.
That's not true. Sub-projects don't get indexed. When you cmd-dbl-
click in the "outer" project, you'll end up finding symbols in the
header files from the build directories of sub-projects. This is often
not what you want, and has been known to "surprise" some people.
Needless to say, this is a known issue.
