I get the following error message compiling a cocoa program:
Warning: Multiple build commands for output file
What does it mean?
How do I correct it?

Look at the individual build phases for the target that generates the command. One of the build phases will have a file listed twice, something that doesn't make sense. Remove one of them and try again.
