Jeez. What a PITA....
And it turns out that such crucial differences as, for example, using a
Debug configuration instead of a Release configuration, will make your
app fail to install.
How long is Apple going to take to automate this process? I could try to
create a Cocoa app that checks the project structures, sends AppleEvents
to the other applications, and verifies that everything is done before
trying to install. But Apple can write a plug-in for Xcode a lot easier
than other people can write stand-alone apps that do what Xcode should
be doing in the first place....
If I wrote this app, if anyone would be willing to help test it, let me
know.
