Hi everyone,
I have suddently started receiving this confusing and
unhelpful error when trying to open up Xcode.
The complete error message
is:
Title: Internal Error
File: /SourceCache/DevToolsBase/DevToolsBase-1148/pbxcore/SpecificationTypes/XCPlatformSpecification.m
Line: 424
Object: <XCPlatformSpecification>
Method: loadAllPlatforms
“The Mac OS X platform is missing – cannot set a
default platform.”
I am left with either Quit or Continue options –
trying to continue just runs in to similar errors.
I have absolutely no idea what’s caused this error or
how to fix it. Google search indicates something about the iPhone SDK (of which
I do not have installed), and deleting Plist files (which I have done and yet
still have no fix).
I do have a /Developer/Platforms/MACOSx.platform/ folder
(not sure if this is what it is trying to find though).
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this frustrating error?
Thanks,
Andrew
