Todays episode reminded me again just how important it is to backup in

Anyone who writes code should use source control, no exceptions. If
you don't use source control, you're asking for trouble.
I would highly recommend getting cheap web-hosting somewhere that will
allow you to host an svn server.

Do you have some suggestions? I have not found cheap hosting with
a google search.

That was exactly what I thought when I saw the code.
If you're web-hosting does not provide svn, you can also have a local svn and push it (sync it) with a distant copy from time to time.
It will be less disk-consuming than the previous solution, and will provide a way to restore the project and to come back to a specific revision easily.

Thank you both very much for your comments. I have downloaded the
free 407 page SVN book and will start learning it.
