Personally I have just ordered a new 17". My third!!! :-)
But as has already been said they do not sit well on planes.
Personally I even think the 15" is too big, so I still have a 12" G4
which is simply for traveling with.
Once on site I pull on the big guns!
If size is a real concern then the extra 4GB I would say loses out.
I've been working with 2GB inn early MBP for two years and only now am
beginning to wish for a bit more RAM.
I think 4GB will set you in good stead for a couple of years....
