Thanks David - I did take a look at the release notes before posting - I did not see anything obvious.

This problem caused me to take a good look at my code yesterday. I subsequently declared it as old! Some of the source was originally written on Panther and ran on the 2nd gen iBook!

'might be time for a bit of a serious re-factoring.... however if there are any more ideas of things to look at then that'd be great.
