Hi I'm having a problem with PackageMaker version 3.0.3.
I have an app that up until just recently had everything in the bundle
- then we wanted to add some commercial anti-piracy components.
So, I need to make a meta package containing just my application and
the package for the 3rd party daemon.
Unfortunately PackageMaker has totally changed since the last time I
used it and I can't seem to figure out how to make packages that
install anything. When I started having problems, I decided to just go
back to basics: install just my app in the /Applications folder.
I created a new project in PackageMaker, dragged my application into
it, it chose /Applications as the default location. I set a package
identifier.
I do a build and then get an installer package. I run the installer
package and it appears to install, but my application is nowhere to be
seen. Not in the /Applications folder anyway.
My app is getting put into the package - Archive.pax.gz contains a copy.
Any suggestions as to what I could be doing wrong would be greatly
appreciated.
Also, when I tried to add the other package, it appeared to work, but
when I ran my meta package, the daemon did not show up anywhere on my
system.
I am very confused.
Thanks.
