I'm quite interested in such a list, but I'd rather have this kind of
discussion in an independent place, as there are many many crossplatform
toolkits and we really don't want to have a "biased" medium ;-).
Then I would be happy to personally set up and host such a list at
byteswap.net I think all I would need to do is to install and configure
GNU Mailman.
I got the idea to develop the byteswap.net website because of my work
with ZooLib, but it was always my intention that it be a community for
*all* cross-platform developers, not just my fellow Zoo Animals.
I've had the site for years, but my initial plan for it was more work
than I could personally commit to. I've held onto the site - and paid
for its hosting - in the hope that I might make something out of it, but
never had a clear idea as to how to proceed. So if you click the link:
http://www.byteswap.net/
... all you'll find is a Real Soon Now placeholder page. :-/
Besides the mailing list, a Wiki would work well. Perhaps someone could
recommend a specific package. Extra credit if it's implemented in
Python, as that's the one web programming language that I know
reasonably well. But I'd be OK using any language that a quality Wiki
implementation required.
I'll have you know that I was repeatedly offered cold hard cash to give
up the domain, but always I refused.
