I do not know if our UPS products which support serial
also ship with converters. I would not think so because many of the
hardware products have both serial and usb connections on them and probably
ship with both cables. The issue would be that the Linux software
doesn't support the USB due to lack of good HID support on Linux (we are
working on changing this). Our software kit is available for free
download on the company site, and we are working on what I think will be
good improvements (omg I am fixing the spelling! plz wait for next release!),
which hopefully will include MacOS X support. It won't be good enough
to port the software using the available Linux source if the HID support
is not applicable. I could easily see someone with a UPS try to use
the Mac software with the USB connection instead of hooking up their own
