You don't say whether you did what the error message said.
You don't say whether you ever had a signing identity (the presence of
the generic "iPhone Developer" makes me doubt it).
You don't say what the code-signing settings are in the target build
settings.
You don't say whether this is the first time you tried building for
the device, instead of for the simulator.
