How to Determine Delegate Methods Supported Prior to 10.6

I have noticed that most if not all of the delegate methods now say, falsely IMHO, they are only supported in 10.6 or later. Is it possible to find out what delegate methods are supported in prior system versions? Not everyone can target only the latest system.

TIA,
