Hi,
To make a long story short, the Xcode integration with IB doesn't work
since I installed the iPhone SDK 3.1.2. The light indicator at the
bottom of the window in IB is gray, which mean that IB doesn't see
Xcode. Any changes made in Xcode is not reflected in IB.
I tried rebooting. No luck.
I tried removing the preferences files for Xcode/IB. No luck.
I tried reinstalling Xcode/IB. Still no luck.
I tried any combination of the above. No success.
I'm really perplexed by this.
I've pushed my investigation a little bit farther and tried to
understand how IB/Xcode talk to each other. It must be some sort of
RPC. I enabled the debugging logs of the launchd deamon, and the
following line is displayed every time I start IB:
[0x0-0x1b01b].com.apple.InterfaceBuilder3[315]: Couldn't open shared
capabilities memory GSCapabilities (No such file or directory)
This is certainly related to my problem.
Any insight would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Martin Cote
