Remove it from the project and add it back in?

Hi all,
I'm seeing strange behavior in Xcode (3.1.3 under OS X 10.5.8). I
can build my C++ project with no problem, and I can compile
most .cpp files individually. But at least one of my .cpp files
will only compile if I do it from the Build menu after selecting it
in the "Groups & Files" list. When I'm working on that file in any
editor, the Compile menu item is grayed out, and command-K just
beeps. The file is included in the project, and has the Target
checkbox checked, and it builds fine, but it won't allow me to
simply Compile it when editing (which I like to do for syntax checks
regularly). Other files (at least several that I've checked)
compile with no problem.
Any thoughts on how/why this happens? I've tried closing and re-
opening the file from the Groups & Files list, but no luck. I'm
stumped.
Thanks,
-Howard
