I did a clean and full build of everything, then checked the
transcript for that symbol. It's not there.
Someone else responded offlist and said (his opinion) that "the syslib
on 10.4 was built with gcc4.0 and can not be used with a binary built
with gcc4.2". I don't think this would be true. The version of gcc
used shouldn't matter to the final build product with regards to what
gets linked in, right? He also suggested using gcc 4.0 and the 10.4
sdk instead of 4.2 and 10.5 sdk. I guess I'll try that next if nobody
has a definite answer about what's causing the runtime link error.
