Sorry -- I hadn't seen Chris Espinosa's reminder message before
replying to yours, so I may have come across as snarky.  The problem
that requires an upgrade from 3.2 to 3.2.1 does not, as far as I know,
affect Xcode 3.1.x.

The usual way to update Xcode (e.g. from 3.1.1 to 3.1.4, which is the
latest version that runs on Leopard) is to download the latest version
from <http://connect.apple.com> and install it over the current
version.
