How can it be expected that just the initially visible part is not colored, but if you scroll up or down, the lines that become visible are properly colored?

When the index is completed the whole view should update. If it doesn't update until you scroll or take some other action, that's a bug.

The portion of the source file that is visible as Xcode opens the project remains un-colored until the index is complete.

However, even while the index is being built, any other portion of the same file or any other file is properly colored (that becomes visible if you switch files or scroll up or down).

Anything but the few lines that are initially visible. Am I really the only one that sees this?

My issue is not that the lines never get colored. It just seems extremely odd that those are the only lines that need to wait until the indexer is done. All other source lines get proper coloring immediately.
