Ken,
I just found out why the debugger doesn't launch my
application: it's because I'm using only ppc architecture
for building the application whereas I'm on an Intel mac.
That's very annoying.
Is there a workaround for this, except for using an i386
architecture?

Could it be that you've unchecked "Start executable after starting
debugger" in the Debugging tab of the inspector for the executable?
If so, you can just click the Restart button or type "run" in the
debugger console to get the program going.
