Debugger 'variable popup' delay

When hovering the mouse over a variable in the debugger,
is there any way to decrease the delay before the little box containing the
variable's value pops up? I seem to waste half my life waiting for that to
happen. It doesn't seem to be related to the delay time for tooltips in
general. I did try defaults write -g
NSInitialToolTipDelay -integer 250, but no dice.
