The "debugger freezing" is a symptom which may have many causes. We would need more data to help you out. If you have a case where the debugger stalls while you are debugging, make sure you have the Xcode/gdb log turned on. You turn this on in the Debugging tab of the Xcode Preferences - N.B. you have to turn this on before you start the debugging session. Then when the debugger stalls, also sample gdb and sample the app you are debugging. Then file a bug (bugreporter.apple.com) with the Xcode/gdb log and the two samples, and we can take a look.
