Jason,
Thank you. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I CAN shift to gcc 4.2 --
(1) The application is legacy; it is pure Carbon C++, and
(2) I am committed to supporting 10.4 at least through the end of the year.
Are there any options for me (such as downgrading to an earlier version of Xcode 3.2.x, or copying an older version of dsymutil to my installation) to allow me to work around this problem? Or, if not, is there an intention to fix it in a future release of Xcode?
