On a semi-related side-note, I'm about to release a tool that's designed to make the iOS beta process easier to handle from an administrative perspective.
iOS BetaBuilder will be free and available soon - I'll post when complete. Basically, it is a simple tool that helps to build all the HTML and related manifest files needed to do wireless (w/o iTunes) beta distribution.
