In your Target Settings (not project, target build settings), set the base SDK to Latest iOS , then go to Deployment group and set iOS Deployment Target to whatever you need to support.

Hi Nava, i am a little newbie in Xcode. If I understand this, i went to Targets->(right mouse click)"add New Target"->Application->In Build Tab->I try to change the Base SDK and only have the IOS 4.2. Where are the "deployment targes"?
I want to run program in 3.1.x version. If I understand the Weak Link, I can build only one program (only one binary) and it can run in a lot of IOS (If the library don`t exist in that IOS, it will crash, but this is my responsibility). So, I have to test and send the program for iPhone with old IOS.
This don`t work for me. There isn't a good paper for read about this?

You need to set the deployment target to iOS 4.1. This way you'll have the backward compatibility
