Sounds like a bug, maybe triggered by some combination of preference settings (since other people don't get this behavior.) Can you reproduce it easily after creating a new project from scratch? If so, Apple might be able to reproduce it if you send them your Xcode settings (~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Xcode.plist, and the ~/ Library/Application Support/Xcode folder) attached to a bug report filed on bugreporter.apple.com.


Also, try quitting Xcode then moving aside the above-mentioned items, and see if the problem goes away.
